'The Saviour'

Trident Comics, 1990, 128 pages

Written by Mark Millar

Illustrated by Daniel Vallely and Daniel Kitching

Introduction by Neil Gaiman

Saviour is the title of a comic book series written by Mark Millar and drawn by Daniel Vallely and Nigel Kitching. It was also the first professionally published work of Mark Millar.

The story revolved around the second coming of Jesus Christ as a superhero who looked like popular British television personality Jonathan Ross. This superhero, called The Saviour, has set out to change the world for the better. However...

You knew there had to be a "however".

This TPB collects issues 1-5. There is an issue 6, and at the end of the TPB it mentions "the story will continue in issues 6-10", however, Trident went bankrupt and no further issues were printed. Issue 6 has never been reprinted or collected.

Comments

Nigel Kitching is the second illustrator.
Hi, can you please upload the comic called "King David" by Nate Watson (it was also published by Blue Water Comics) thanks, God bless...
Thanks for all your uploads. Its fucking good stuff.

:o)
Hey, thanks for the kind fucking words, jumjumb. You're most fucking welcome.
Mr.Bookworm, I'm looking into all your requests. Will certainly do what I can.
I'll post this to a few of my uploads to gauge the response, but I'm wondering...

How interested in back issues of The Comics Journal are y'all?

Very? You'd like all of them, or as many as possible.

A little? There's some that you would download individually, but you're not really looking for a complete run.

Not at all? You're not interested.

Keep in mind, to the best of my knowledge, a complete run DOES NOT YET EXIST. There's a lot of them "out there", but many of the more recent issues are not easily found. Also, the file size on many of them is as big (or bigger) than a good sized TPB.

Any input on this will go towards helping me decide whether or not I'm going to keep compiling them and/or, eventually, upload them.
Hugely interested TCJ back issues. I've got a subscription now, but their archives are fairly meager at present. Looking forward to whatever you have.
Sounds cool. Mark Millar's first published work to boot. Thanks for the up, LeonardTSpock!
@Leonard

Twomorrows would be the one of the best collection on comics to ever feature anywhere. Do please continue and collect as much as you can !!
